NRS-19034 | Lord Howe Island photographic album re public works on the island [Public Works]

This series consists of colour photographs and negatives showing NSW Department of Public Works monitoring and works activities on Lord Howe Island between 1978 and 1988.The photographs are arranged in chronological order across two albums while the negatives are held in sleeves contained within a file cover. Included in the album are photographs of jetty construction, the airstrip on Lord Howe Island, the delivery of a mobile crane by the Royal Australian Air Force, the slipway on Ned's Beach, a potential quarry site, the rubbish tip and Public Works staff engaging in fieldwork on the island.
