fMRI - Prosocial Cyberball Game

Functional runs of the PCG were acquired using a T2*-weighted echo-planar imaging (EPI) technique. The first two volumes (dummy volumes) were discarded to allow for equilibration of T1 saturation effects. In total, there were 2 PCG runs conducted. The number of volumes acquired varied based on each participant's reaction time, with a maximum of 175 volumes. On average, 136 volumes (equivalent to 4.99 minutes) were acquired for each PCG run. The parameters used remained constant throughout the waves. The acquired volumes covered the entire brain, utilizing the following imaging parameters: a field of view (FOV) of 220 mm in the anterior-posterior (ap) direction, 220 mm in the right-left (rl) direction, and 111.65 mm in the foot-head (fh) direction. The imaging protocol included a repetition time (TR) of 2.2 seconds, an echo time (TE) of 30 ms, and a flip angle (FA) of 80°. The data was acquired sequentially in 37 slices, with a voxel size of 2.75 mm x 2.75 mm x 2.75 mm.
