LPRS02RR Laperouse Expedition Leg 02 - Cruise Report. In Data from Scripps Research Expeditions 1953-2005

Objectives of this proposal are to collect new large diameter cores from multiple channel sources to establish a spatial and temporal record of earth-quake triggered turbidites along the northern california margin, assemble a holocene event history for the margin from the stratigraphy of existing and new cores to investigate the long-term segmentation of the margin, determine the statistical recurrence time for whole-margin or segmented rupture and to examine possible patterns of clustering, segmented triggering or other temporal or spatial earthquake patterns.
