The Hh pathway is activated in boie FSCs and their progeny. 0-3 day old w1118 (WT) flies were provided with wet yeast for 3 days, then dissected and fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde. Germaria were stained with anti-activated Cubitus interuptus (Ci, green), anti-Fas3 (follicle cells, red), and anti-vasa (germ cells, blue).
