We studied the enhancing effect of sunflower plants on the mobilization by a rhamnolipid biosurfactant of slowly desorbing fractions of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in a soil from a creosote contaminated site. We evaluated the microbial community dynamics during treatment in planted and unplanted pots cultivated under greenhouse conditions.
