Community patterns of rhizosphere fungi and bacteria along environmental gradients in Cryptomeria japonica plantations in East Asia

We examined community assemblages of the rhizosphere microbes in eight Cryptomeria japonica plantations distributed from cool temperate to subtropical zones in Japan and Taiwan. Total DNA was extracted from rhizosphere soils on C. japonica fine roots, and subjected to amplicon sequencing for fungi and bacteria using Miseq.
