Simulation data accompanying the paper: "Guided Unconditional and Conditional Generative Models for Super-Resolution and Inference of Quasi-Geostrophic Turbulence"

Each .npy file contains vorticities of forced quasi-geostrophic turbulence simulations in the eddy (beta =0) and jet (beta > 0) regimes. The dimension of each .npy file is [Runs, Snapshots, Channels, Height, Width] = [500,196,1,64,64]. Nomenclature: fields_pooled64_eddy_re_1000.npy: 64x64 fields in the eddy regime and Reynolds number 1000. fields_pooled64_ds16_eddy_re_1000.npy: 64x64 fields down-sampled to 16x16 in the eddy regime and Reynolds number 1000. fields_pooled64_ds32_partial_jet_re_10000.npy: 64x64 fields down-sampled to 32x32 in the jet regime with sparse, gappy partial observations and Reynolds number 10000. All down-sampled fields have been interpolated back to the 64x64 grid.
