Ex situ profiles from undisturbed multicorer sediment samples (Ice station #7) with and without algal aggregate deposits on top of the sediments. Core 2 was covered by a large Melosira strand and profiled at two different locations. No algae deposition were visible on the the surface of core 6, which were also profiled at two different spots.
