Incidence of acne in women using LNG IUD

Purpose: The levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) is widely used as a long-term contraceptive method, with high continuation and satisfaction rates among users. However, one factor that can lead to its discontinuation is the occurrence of acne.Methods: We performed a systematic review and single-arm meta-analysis to assess the incidence of acne in women users of the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system.
