Data archive for Microbial dynamics in coral-reef waters: diel cycles in contrasting seasons

Data collected during two sampling campaigns in the Gulf of Aqaba, Red Sea, carried out in February-March and July-August 2023. Sampling was conducted at two sites along the western coast of the gulf: 1) NatRes (NR), a coral reef within a nature reserve (29°30.26'N, 34°55.13'E), and 2) Katza (KA), a nearby sandy area (29°31.53'N, 34°56.18'E), which served as non-reef control. At each site, two locations (nearshore and offshore) were sampled in paralell (see schematic). The study examined diel cycles.
