These data show that upon infection of HIV-1 from elite controllers, the restriction factor TRIM5alpha triggers transcription of pro-inflammatory genes linked to the NF-KB et AP-1 pathways as well as IFN-beta. Nuclear translocation of P-p65 and P-cJun may be observed at 48 hours post-infection. Pre-treatment of the cells with the integrase inhibitor Raltegravir does not prevent sensing from TRIM5, as observed by WB, Microscropy and QPCR.
