This dataset is derived from patient samples collected at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center between 2003 and 2007, including smokers who had not been previously diagnosed with lung cancer. Within this cohort, some individuals were diagnosed with benign non-calcified pulmonary nodules, while others were confirmed to have non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Blood samples from all study participants were collected during clinical visits or prior to surgery. Additionally, the dataset was supplemented with additional RNA samples sourced from the New York University Medical Center. This dataset also includes patient information related to smoking history. The primary task of this dataset is binary classification prediction for lung cancer.
