Brazil: cosmetics brands sales due to COVID-19 2020

Cosmetics brands in Brazil saw a decrease in sales during the second half of March 2020, linked to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country. In the week starting on March 22, L'Oreal saw a ten percent decrease in sales in Brazil, after a nine percent increase registered in the previous week. Meanwhile, Coty saw a decrease in sales for two consecutive weeks, reaching a drop of 17 percent in the second week evaluated. The first death due to COVID-19 was reported in Brazil on March 18.
