Albedo derived from Oceansat-2 Ocean Color Monitor (OCM)

Albedo is a key parameter that is widely used in land- surface energy balance studies, mid- to long-term weather prediction and global climate change in estigation. Surface albedo is the ratio of upwelling radiant energy relative to the down-welling irradiance incident upon a surface. This data is a value added product which is derived from Oceansat-2 OCM which operates in eight spectral bands in VNIR bands with 1Km spatial resolution and swath of 1420 kms.
