Spending over 500 - August 2022

Middlesbrough Council is committed to making its finances clear, so that anyone can see exactly how money is spent. As part of the council's commitment to providing financial transparency, regular reports will be published on items of spending over £500 (including VAT). Reports will be published not less than quarterly and no later than one month after the quarter to which the data and information is applicable, which is consistent with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015. The reports list the individual payments to suppliers with a value over £500. Please note these are payments made in the period, and do not necessarily relate to invoices dated or received in the period. The reports include: • all individual items purchased • payments made to contractors carrying out work on the council's behalf • other spend incurred in carrying out the council's business The reports exclude: • payments made to staff • sensitive personal information, such as payments made to foster carers • any payments which may reveal personal details about an individual
