Distinct stochastic processes driving bacterial community assembly in two highly urbanized coastal ecosystems of Pearl River Estuary and the co-occurrence patterns with common antibiotic resistance genes

To comprehensive understanding the ecology of bacterial community and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in urbanized coastal ecosystems, the study investigated the variations of bacterial community and five common types of ARGs, the impacting factors and assembly of bacterial community, as well as their co-occurrence relationships in two different ecosystems of the Pearl River Estuary (PRE).
