Gene expression profiling of healthy and calcified aortic human aortic valves

In order to investigate gene expression profile differences between healthy and calcified human aortic valves, RNA-sequencing was performed on RNA of 6 human aortic valve samples from 6 different inpatients: 3 replicates of the healthy aortic valve leaflet were harvested from the inpatients (Aortic dissection) undergone Bentall surgery, 3 replicates of the calcified aortic valve leaflet were harvested from the inpatients undergone aortic valve replacement surgery.
