Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Rolleston Park Farm, Rolleston-on-Dove, Staffordshire. April to May 2024

This collection consists of images, including those of cremated human remains, GIS, vector graphics, a spreadsheet and site record data from an archaeological evaluation by Archaeological Research Services Ltd. Work occurred on land at Rolleston Park Farm, Rolleston-on-Dove, Staffordshire, between April and May 2024. An unurned cremation pit was found at the top of the hill. The cremated bone was radiocarbon dated to the Early Bronze Age. No evidence of a mound was found and the only ditch recovered in the trench was Iron Age. It and contained 43 sherds from seven vessels. The majority hillside was under arable use and heavily ploughed, with only a modern boundary ditch and field drains evident.
