Effect of various cytokines and stress conditions on LRRK2 expression in hPBMCs.

Freshly prepared hPBMCs were cultured under various conditions for 24 h. LRRK2 protein expression was monitored by Western blot and qPCR. As hPBMC population composition may vary by donor, the number of times where a given result was found as well as the total number of experiments (expts) performed are indicated. Results are only qualitatively represented. Corresponding qPCR data and western blots and are shown in Figures S4 and S5. IFN-γ, IFN-β and to a lesser extent TNF-α were very potent inducers of LRRK2 expression at both the protein and mRNA level. ND: Not determined.
