This study reports targeted DNA sequencing results from a single clinical case of metastatic melanoma harboring a novel CBX3::ALK out-of-frame fusion, which exhibited a marked therapeutic response to ALK inhibition. Targeted DNA analysis confirmed the absence of BRAF and RAS mutations and demonstrated a low tumor mutational burden and microsatellite stability.
