Nipah virus (NiV) and Hendra virus (HeV) are the prototypical members of the Henipavirus (HNV) genus and are regarded as the most pathogenic paramyxoviruses. Infection with NiV and HeV presents severe respiratory symptoms and progresses to febrile encephalitis, with an associated mortality rate of 50-100%.Here, we describe a novel immunotherapy for these Henipaviruses and examine the presence of passage-to-passage evolution of Nipah virus under the presence of these immunotherapies.
