La Selva Biological Station (Costa Rica) Neotropical lowland rainforest soil DNA metabarcoding of the 16S V3-V4 rRNA

A total of 94 soil samples were collected in the lowland rainforest of the La Selva Biological Station (Costa Rica) in October 2015. All samples were collected and prepared following the protocol of Mahé et al. (Mahé et al., 2017). General primers (Herlemann et al., 2011) were used to amplify the V3-V4 regions of the16S rRNA.
