The research focus is to explore how Black, Coloured and Indian (BCI) gamers in South Africa would like to be represented in games, and secondly, how this understanding can inform game development in South Africa. An emergent research design was opted for and via interviews and online questionnaires data were obtained and analysed according to the principles of grounded theory.
