VPRS 15877 Survey Book (GRS 1375)

This Survey Book, which is the survey book of Port of Geelong Authority Captains Saunders and Hancox, provides geographical bearings of objects, buildings, buoys, quays, channels, wharves, piers and townships. Most of the surveys in the book were taken from the red neon light at the outer end of Cunningham Pier, Geelong. The information calculated in the surveys is the compass bearing and the distance measured in feet. In some instances the date on which the survey was conducted is included with the information. The book includes other information such as the depths of anchorages.Entries in the book are in alphabetical sections depending on the subject being surveyed.The survey book measures 15x22x4.5 centimetres.
