资源简介:
The fungal diversity of Santubong has not been adequately documented. Fungi are a diverse group, widespread in distribution and contribute to species richness and to ecological processes. Ecologically they are classified into three major groups: saprophytes (e.g., litter and soil decomposers), parasites (e.g., pathogens of plants and animals) and symbionts (e.g., mycorrhizal fungi, which live in close association with tree roots and benefit tree growth). Fungi can be collected throughout the year, but most grow primarily during the rainy season, especially the gilled mushrooms. A few species can be encountered year-round, producing tough fruiting bodies. Examples include the genera Ganoderma and Microporus.
