Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1982 comprises 22 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1982. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1982 omnibuses are: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the house- hold, number of adults (persons aged 15 or more) and children, and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupational status, public or private employment and income; education, occupational status and public or private employment of the head of the household; gross household income; the housewife's occupational status; housing conditions and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbanization; whether the respondent has smoked various forms of tobacco on the day before the interview; the respondent's newspaper reading habits; habits as regards weeklies, monthlies, magazines, etc.; the respondent's last cinema visit; use of bus/coach and (as regards respondents in Zealand) S-train, etc.; the respondent's source of information concerning the purchase of convenience goods and municipal information; which party the respondent voted for at the last general election and which party the respondent would vote for at a general election on the day after the interview. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #General opinion of the USA and of the Soviet Union; trust in the USA's ability to deal with political problems; protection of Denmark's security; assessment of whether it is possible that the Soviet Union will attack Western Europe within the next five years; trust in NATO's and the USA's ability to protect Western Europe against a Soviet attack; the impact of the stationing of US nuclear missiles in Western Europe; Russian dominance versus a nuclear war; the influence of the Soviet Union on the situation in Poland; whether the respondent has written business letters or private letters within the last year (not including Christmas cards, etc.); social equality in Denmark; police involvement in various illegal actions (squatting, blockades, etc.); the TV programmes 'Mille og Mikkel' and 'Cafe Vennelyst'; Danish instruction in primary school; and general impression of school teachers today
