Musico Napolitano

The 'Musico Napolitano' biographical index aims to relate the multiple data concerning the performing arts professionals active in Naples, which have emerged from the perusal of different sources such as chronicles, accounting documents, notarial deeds, internal documents of institutions, correspondence, etc., useful for reconstructing the biographical paths and careers of known and lesser-known artists. The index was created in 2014 at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and is currently hosted by the Hochschule der Künste Bern at http://musiconapolitano.hkb.bfh.ch/. The editorial board encourages the submission of comments (musiconapolitano AT hkb.bfh.ch) and suggestions and invites every Naples scholar to contribute to the index. The data was gathered both from existing reference works and directly from archival records. It is preserved here as an sql dump of the entire database.
