The global manufacturing sector is undergoing a fundamental transformation driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), intensifying international competition, and heightened resource constraints. For transition economies such as Uzbekistan, improving enterprise efficiency is not merely a microeconomic objective but a cornerstone of national development policy. The Government of Uzbekistan adopted the Development Strategy 2022–2026 (Presidential Decree UP-60, 2022), which explicitly targets a 1.5-fold increase in industrial labour productivity by 2026.
