Development of local community

In 2008, the Lviv City administration announced a competition to write a program for city Lviv tourists development among those, who are interested in cooperation. Below is a presentation of how I would see this development. How many presentations were collected and who “won” is unknown, because the competition was not conducted transparently. I didn´t get any notification. More than this - the person in charge said that my program was lost, once I asked ). New Meyer came to power (he is still there, soon 20 years). But compare the coincidences of ideas and innovations in the city (since 2008 -) it was a serious intention. Afterwards, the city began actively developing a tourism strategy to strengthen the image of Lviv as an international cultural and tourist destination. The program focused on sustainable development - starting from local development of community, services and accessibility, promoting Lviv abroad, and increasing cooperation with European partners. In general, the program aimed to: increase the number of domestic and foreign tourists; improve the tourist image of Lviv; develop cultural and historical attractions; support hotels, restaurants, and tourism services; and integrate European standards into the tourism sector.
