资源简介:

The genus Allium including key crops such as onion, garlic, and bunching onion. These species are cultivated globally, valued not only as vegetables but also for their distinctive flavours, nutritional benefits, and health-promoting bioactive compounds. Despite their economic and dietary importance, genomic studies in Allium have been challenging because of their unusually large genome sizes (10–30 Gb) and the dominance of repetitive elements, which have hindered efforts to obtain high-quality assemblies with short-read sequencing. We performed assembly and annotation with PacBio long-read sequencing for Allium roylei. The final assembly analysis resulted in a total of 1,665 scaffolds, a genome size of 15.137 Gbp and an N50 length of 1.9 Gbp. Among these data, we confirmed 8 scaffolds exceeded 1 Gbp and classified as chromosome-level. The completeness of BUSCO rate was over 95%. A total gene set of 57,847 was identified.
