Representative sample of four-channel maximum-intensity projection (MIP) imagesfrom the 3D Cell Painting HepG2 spheroid pipeline, supporting the manuscript: Iáñez I, et al. "3D Cell Painting in HepG2 spheroids for phenotypic drug discovery."Communications Biology (2026). Contents: 20 wells covering the four phenotype categories described in the study(control/DMSO, shrunken, stable and expanded), including the three HSP90 ansamycinhits (geldanamycin, alvespimycin, retaspimycin) discussed in the paper. Each wellcontains images across four Cell Painting channels (DNA, ER, AGP, MITO) and up tofour independent replicate acquisitions. A metadata table (image_sample_metadata.csv) maps each image to its plate, well,replicate, phenotype, compound (EOS ID and name), concentration and channel. Version aligned with the CP3D code repository v1.0.0(https://github.com/InmaIG/CP3D, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21905942) and the CP3Dprocessed data deposit (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21914572). The complete imaging dataset (13,568 single-channel MIPs across 3,392 wells plusthe underlying confocal z-stacks) is available from the corresponding authorupon reasonable request.
