Status of Australian Fish Stocks 2016

This dataset contains information on the ‘Status of Australian Fish Stocks’:\r\n-\t294 stock status assessments were undertaken across the 83 species/species complexes \r\n-\tStocks comprised biological; jurisdictional and management unit with assessments undertaken at the biological stock level, wherever possible.\r\n-\t232 stock status classifications could be assigned. The remaining stocks were classified as 49 undefined and 13 negligible stocks.\r\n-\tOf the 232 stock status classifications that could be assigned:\r\no\t175 stocks were assessed as being sustainable\r\no\t26 stocks transitional–depleting\r\no\t9 stocks transitional–recovering\r\no\t5 stocks environmentally limited\r\no\t17 stocks overfished.\r\n
