Gut microbiota and short-chain fatty acids in infants with food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome

Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) in infants is being increasingly understood, and the extensively hydrolyzed formula (EHF) and the amino acid-based formula (AAF) are two substitutes in FPIES infants. In this study we aimed to explore the effect of EHF or AAF on the gut microbiota and short-chain fatty acids using fecal samples.
