Laser particle cytotoxicity on HeLa cells

The study aims to identify cytotoxicity effects of InGaAsP laser particles on HeLa cells. The particles investigated are microdisks with a diameter of about 2 um and thickness of about 200 nm, coated with a protective silica layers and functionalized with polyethyleneimine to improve uptake. HeLa cells are tagged with laser particles and incubated for 24h before mRNA extraction.
