Dataset: synthetic pack of spheres for image-based simulations

The dataset contains the locations and sizes of the spherical particles generated by the discrete element method that resembles the soil studied in Zhou et al. (2014), Water Resources Research, 50(12), 9630-9655, which serves as a platform to conduct image-based freezing simulations. This has been used for the validation exercise in our manuscript entitled "Image-based estimation of freezing characteristic curve for water-saturated porous media" submitted to Water Resources Research.

本数据集收录了离散元法生成的球形颗粒的位置与尺寸信息，这些颗粒的生成方式与周等人在《水资源研究》（Zhou et al., 2014, Water Resources Research, 50(12), 9630-9655）中研究的土壤类似。该数据集为基于图像的冻结模拟提供了一个平台。该数据集已应用于我们提交至《水资源研究》的论文《基于图像的水饱和多孔介质冻结特性曲线的估计》中的验证实验。
