VPRS 7878 Gazette Extracts of Grants Under the Mining Development Act

This series consists of notices cut out from published copies of the Victorian Government Gazette and pasted into a volume. The actual notices do not identify the file numbers for each of the relevant approved grants and, in some instances, don't even identify the recipients. The volume does not contain a significant number of entries and so it is unlikely to be a definitive compilation of all grants. It is possible the volumes only covers a certain type of grant or grants within a limited geographical area. It is not even clear whether the volume was created by a Mining District or at departmental level and, as an interim measure, the recording agency has been attributed to the Mines Department.
