Caecal fungal community of rabbit

Coprophagy, observed in rabbits and some rodents, is crucial for maintaining intestinal microbial balance and enhancing feed efficiency. Limited research exists on gut fungi, but ITS amplification analysis showed that preventing coprophagy reduced both the richness and diversity of the cecal fungal community in rabbits.
