Plio-Pleistocene climate record on the Tibetan plateau (4.3 Ma to 0.8 Ma). A total of 344 samples were collected and analysed for CaCO<sub>3</sub>, grain size, TN, TOC, C/N ratio, and δ<sup>13</sup>C<sub>org.</sub> A subset of 275 samples were also analysed for carbonate δ<sup>18</sup>O<sub>c</sub> and δ<sup>13</sup>C<sub>c</sub> analyses. 57 samples were analysed for Δ<sub>47</sub> composition, which was used to estimate local mean annual air temperature.<br>Supplement to <b>Cheng F. et al.</b>, Alpine permafrost could account for a quarter of thawed carbon based on Plio-Pleistocene paleoclimate analogue, <i>Nature Communications.</i><b></b>
