To map transcriptional changes in response to IL-1b treatment during adipogenesis, human adipose-derived stem cells were differentiated in the presence or absence of IL-1b, and RNA-seq was performed on cells collected during early, middle, and late differentiation stages. Overall design: Human adipose-derived stem cells originating from the subcutaneous white adipose tissue of a male donor (16 years old, BMI 24) were treated continuously with human recombinant IL-1b (10 ng/ml) or vehicle (water, 1:1000) from start of adipogenic induction, and collected at three different time points (day 2, 5, and 9 of differentiation). Data is from 4 independent experiments (1 replicate per experiment).
