Visual history archive

The Visual History Archive is the largest visual history archive in the world with over 5200 video testimonies of Holocaust survivors and witnesses, in 32 languages and from 56 countries. The Shoah Foundation Institute has interviewed Jewish survivors, homosexual survivors, Jehovah’s Witness survivors, liberators and liberation witnesses, political prisoners, rescuers and aid providers, Roma and Sinti survivors (Gypsy), survivors of Eugenics policies, and warcrimes trials participants. The archive is fully catalogued and indexed permitting researchers to perform detailed searches for relevant testimonies and segments of testimonies.
For a time Monash University with the support of the RDSI's VicNode hosted a local Australian instance which contained over 200 interviews recorded in Australia.  By 2017 the local Australian cache was centralised with the rest of the collection as part of a wider reorganisation of the entire collection.
