Effect of use of cephalosporin anitbiotics at the end of cessation on milk and teat skin microbiome

The aim of the project is to understand the long term effects of the use of cephalosporin antibiotics at dry off on the teat skin and milk microbiome. Healthy cows and cows with elevated somatic cell counts (SCC, subclinical mastitis) were examined over the course of two lactation cycles with samples taken at dry-off (before treatment) and 7 days post dry-off and 55-75DIM in the next lactation cycle
