Children Electively Home Educated in Bristol

Children of the statutory school age, 5 to 15 years. Elective Home Education is the term used, by the Department for Education (DfE), to describe a parents decision to provide education for their child at home instead of sending them to school. The role of the LA is to determine whether the parents are providing a suitable education for their child / children. Children home educated have been attributed to a ward based on their home postcode. Those wards with five or less cases have been suppressed to protect identity.
