MotorFactory

MotorFactory是由卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院开发的一个Blender插件，专门用于生成多样化的小型电机模型。该插件能够创建包含多种规格的电机网格模型，并可进一步生成合成RGB图像、深度图像、法线图像、分割地面实况掩码和3D点云数据集。这些合成数据集可用于电机类型分类、对象检测、部件分割以及基于强化学习的机器人控制等任务。MotorFactory的开发旨在解决再制造过程中自动化拆解不同产品类型的需求，特别是在产品状态和磨损程度不确定的情况下，通过机器学习算法提高生产系统的适应性和灵活性。MotorFactory is a Blender add-on developed by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), specifically designed for generating diverse small-sized motor models. This add-on can create motor mesh models with various specifications, and further generate synthetic RGB images, depth images, normal images, segmentation ground-truth masks as well as 3D point cloud datasets. These synthetic datasets can be applied to tasks including motor type classification, object detection, component segmentation, and reinforcement learning-based robotic control. MotorFactory was developed to address the requirement for automated disassembly of diverse product types during remanufacturing processes, particularly under scenarios where product conditions and wear levels are uncertain, so as to improve the adaptability and flexibility of production systems via machine learning algorithms.
