资源简介:
This paper uses data from the 2016 China Migrant Dynamics Survey to examine how the family structures of married migrants with children varies with (1) region, (2) settlement size and (3) distance moved. The results show that people moving short distances are most likely to live with their entire family while longer distance movers — except in central mega cities — are more likely to be living as individuals or couples with left-behind family members. Overall, our results show that interacting the three geographical variables provides the richest way to understand patterns in the family structures of Chinese migrants.
