Exploring the role of positive direct expe-rience in adoption of energy-efficient technologies

The visitors of a recently refurnished public swimming pool in a Swiss city were surveyed about their experience with new low-flow showerheads, intention to take advantage of a local utility's campaign offering low-flow showerheads for home use at a highly subsidised price, socio-psychological determinants of a decision and intention to purchase a subsidised low-flow showerhead in this context and their socio-demographic background.
