Research data related to the publication "Flow regimes for triangular cylinders in various angular orientations in tandem configuration for distance 6D"The study investigates the wake dynamics of tandem triangular cylinders at a fixed spacing and Re ≈ 10⁴, focusing on the influence of apex angle and upstream cylinder orientation. Two tandem configurations, triangle–triangle (TT) and triangle–square (TS), were analyzed using time-resolved Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) for three apex angles (T60, T45, T30) and three rotation angles (A0, A90, A180). High-fidelity experimental measurements reveal that TT configurations promote stronger aerodynamic coupling and more coherent wake structures than TS arrangements. Smaller apex angles intensify flow sensitivity and instabilities, while orientation governs wake symmetry: A90 leads to asymmetric vortex shedding with delayed recovery, whereas A180 produces weaker vortices and smoother reattachment. Strouhal number variations highlight the critical role of geometric alignment in modulating vortex shedding and wake coherence. Based on these findings, flow regimes are classified into co-shedding, asymmetric shedding, and reattached flow, providing practical insights for passive flow control in engineering applications, including urban aerodynamics, offshore structures, and energy systems.The readme file contains sorted filenames linked to the figures from the article.This work was supported by the National Science Center under grant UMO-2024/53/B/ST8/02908.
