Water Quality Data in Lake Hazen, Quttinirpaaq National Park, Northern Ellesmere Island, Nunavut

The primary objective of this study is to quantify water quality in the world's largest lake north of 74 latitude which is Lake Hazen, Northern Ellesmere Island, Nunavut. This will provide a detailed baseline dataset which will be used to compare future water monitoring of Lake Hazen and samples collected previously to determine if there have been recent changes in water quality. The overarching goal is to put in place a long-term water quality monitoring program for Lake Hazen which will facilitate the assessment of climate change impacts on contaminant deposition in the high Arctic.
