This reference publication presents specially selected continuous chronological series of main analytical indicators of the development of the US energy and raw material base in 1950-1996, as well as their estimated functional approximation for the future up to 2010. The database includes continuous chronological series of statistical indicators of production, consumption, imports and exports for 35 basic types of energy carriers and primary industrial raw materials used in the US economy. Particular attention was paid to strategic types of minerals such as oil, natural gas, coal, uranium, nickel, cobalt, vanadium, molybdenum, graphite, etc. For comparative assessments, indicators of the corresponding actual and forecast global production of similar types of raw materials were also included. This publication additionally presents calculated basic and chain sliding indices calculated by groups of targeted use of various types of fuel and energy and mineral raw materials. The information basis in preparing this work for publication was accumulated and processed in the Section of Economic Databases of the Institute for the USA and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1985-1998. The primary limited sample of factual data on all the above indicators for 1950-1995 has been previously published in the form of a separate reference data base in 1998.
