ZIP Codes (SC)

Each year the State GIS Coordinator requests local level GIS data per Proviso 103.2 of the 2022-23 Appropriations Act (and subsequent versions) to be used for the purposes set forth therein and as may otherwise be permitted by statute. One specific dataset that was requested from our local government partners was Zip Codes boundaries. RFA obtained local government Zip Code data in June 2022 and compared the data with locally provided statewide address points and centerlines as of July 2022 to produce a representation of Zip Code boundaries for the state. Zip codes boundaries were finalized by reconciling them against the locally provided address points, centerlines, and parcels. When discrepancies were identified, RFA adjusted the Zip Code boundary to match the locally provided data. This data can be updated periodically based on locally sourced content.每年，州地理信息系统（Geographic Information System，GIS）协调员都会依据2022-2023财年拨款法案的附款103.2（及其后续修订版本），要求提交地方级地理信息系统数据，用于该附款中规定的用途及法规允许的其他用途。我们向地方政府合作方征集的特定数据集之一为邮政编码边界数据。RFA于2022年6月获取了地方政府提供的邮政编码数据，并于2022年7月将该数据与同期提交的全州地址点及道路中心线进行比对，以此生成全州邮政编码边界的制图成果。通过与地方提交的地址点、道路中心线及地块数据进行比对校验，最终确定了全州邮政编码边界。若发现数据存在偏差，RFA将调整邮政编码边界以匹配地方提交的数据源。该数据集可基于地方源数据定期进行更新。
