Whole genome sequencing of Ambystoma tigrinum virus from Outbreaks in western tiger Salamanders in Alberta, Canada

Amybstoma tigrinum virus (ATV) and other emerging viruses of Ranavirus genus and Iridoviridae family affect a wide range of wild, captured and cultured amphibians, reptiles and fish. Whole genome sequencing of DNA extracted from field collected tail clips were conducted to allow identification of genome-level factors that can affect pathogenicity of these viruses.
